My Happiness Project – Month 3

After reading Gretchen Rubin’s “The Happiness Project” I have decided that in my self-development journey this year I will begin my own project.  It is really a mix of Gretchen’s ideas, Habit Stacking, Miracle Morning and internal reflection. But in the spirit of vulnerability and sharing, here’s what I am working on this month…

Happiness Project Month 3

What makes me happy, not what should make me happy.

March 2018 – Motherhood

Focus: Find and foster joy in my relationship with my children.

Resolutions:
-Take at least one photo of a kid each day.
-Spend 5-10 individual minutes with the kids every day.
-1 activity weekly with kid(s)

I know, there are less resolutions this month… but I have 3 kids!  Cut me some slack!

Take at least one photo of a kid each day – as a former photographer, I am ashamed to say that I really stink at documenting moments and I vow to get better at this.

Spend 5-10 minutes with each kid, every day – Giving them a little bit of uninterrupted, quality time to talk and let them know I care about them and what goes on during the day while we aren’t together.

1 activity weekly with kid(s) – ideally – one kid will get an activity/2 hours or more with me each week with one week being with all three kids.  Not sure how I will work that into the schedule. But Spring break is this month, maybe I can use that to my advantage.
